Grain to destination.

GRANORA buys food and agricultural products in the country where they are produced and sells them to buyers in markets around the world. The goods travel straight to the buyer's country without passing through Türkiye, while buying, selling and shipping are managed from Istanbul.

Origin

We buy the right product at the right price.

We compare different origins and producers for the same product, follow the harvest period and the market price, and buy at the most favorable time.

Istanbul

We bring buyer and producer to one table.

Price, quantity, delivery terms and payment terms are negotiated in Istanbul. Purchase and sale are bound by separate contracts, and both sides deal with a single counterparty.

Destination

The goods take the shortest route to market.

The goods move from the port of loading to the buyer's port or warehouse without calling at Türkiye. With no transshipment in between, cost and transit time are reduced.

Product groups

From field to table, from seed to combine.

We have organized the food and agricultural products we buy and sell into twelve groups. Each group page covers the products we trade, the buyers we sell to, the values that set the price and our trade terms.

The route of a trade

Five steps from inquiry to delivery.

How transit trade works
  1. 01

    Inquiry

We take the product, quality, quantity, packaging and destination you are looking for. For regular purchases we also discuss your annual requirement.

  2. 02

    Sourcing and price

We collect prices from producers and suppliers in different origins and find the best option, taking quality, loading period and freight into account.

  3. 03

    Offer and negotiation

We present a clear offer with delivery terms, price and payment terms. Once agreed, purchase and sale are bound by separate contracts.

  4. 04

    Loading

The lot is prepared, the vessel or container is arranged and the goods set off from the port of loading to the buyer's country.

  5. 05

    Delivery and next order

The goods reach the buyer and payment is completed. With our regular buyers we plan the price and period of the next lot together.

Trading desk

A price for the buyer, a market for the producer.

Our business is buying and selling. For the buyer, we compare the same product from different origins and find a competitive price; for the producer and exporter, we open new markets and buyers for their product. We sign separate contracts with each side and carry the risk and workload of the trade ourselves.

  • Comparative price offers from different origins
  • Spot purchases and term supply contracts
  • Several products sourced in one order through one counterparty
  • New markets and buyers for producers and exporters
How transit trade works

Why transit

Goods on the short route, trade on the safe one.

  • Competitive price

There is no cost for unloading, storage and reloading in a third country; the saving is reflected in the price.

  • Wider sourcing

You are not tied to a single country; you buy from the origin that suits best in terms of product, price and period.

  • One counterparty

Instead of producers in several countries, you work with a single commercial counterparty that takes on price, delivery and responsibility.

  • Flexible payment

Letter of credit, cash against documents or advance payment, set up to suit the deal.
